Placer County Foreclosures Report - January 2010
In their monthly report, www.foreclosureradar.com has reported that foreclosures increased in Placer County during January 2010 when compared to December 2009 and January 2009.
Foreclosure filings were down for the state in January when compared to December, but were up on a daily average basis, because their were fewer days in January to file foreclosures than there were in December.
The report also highlights the fact that the time foreclosures are taking from the notice of default to an eventual foreclosure or cancellation has increased from 146 days in August 2008 to 229 days in January 2010. This increase in time to foreclose is one of the reasons why the number of homes delinquent on payments can continue to rise, while the number of homes that are foreclosed on or are otherwise removed from foreclosure have not risen at the same rate.
