The number of homes for sale in Placer County decreased in June when compared to May, and was down much even more substantially compared to June of last year.

The number of new listings that were added to to the market in June was lower than the number added in May, and was also lower than the number of listing added to the market in June of last year.

The least expensive home listed for sale in Placer County is a 1,363 square-foot bank owned home on Church Street in Roseville, which is listed for $62,500. The most expensive home for sale in Placer County is a 3,110 square-foot home on 80 Acres on McCourtney Road in Lincoln, which is listed for $6,200,000.

As of July 31st, 2011, in addition to the homes currently listed for sale or pending sale, there are also 664 homes listed in Placer County that are short sales in contract awaiting bank approval. There were 690 of these types of short sale contingent properties listed on June 30th and 632 listed on July 26th of last year. 

The number of Placer County homes that were pending sale in May was up when compared to May, and was up even more when compared to June of last year.

The number of homes that sold in Placer County in June was down compared to May and was down even more compared to June of last yeard.

The median sales price of homes in Placer County was up in June when compared to May, but it was down when compared to June of last year.

The inventory of homes for sale in Placer County, when calculated using the number of homes for sale compared to the number of homes that have recently sold stands at 2.9 months, which is slightly higher than May of this year, but lower than and June of last year.
