The number of homes for sale in Placer County decreased in February when compared to January, and was down even more substantially compared to February of last year.

The number of new listings that were added to to the market in February was lower than the number added in January, and was also lower than the number of listing added to the market in February of last year.

The least expensive home listed for sale in Placer County is a 1,060 square-foot home on 5th Street in Lincoln, which is listed for $59,900. The most expensive home for sale in Placer County is a 3,110 square-foot home on 80 Acres on McCourtney Road in Lincoln, which is listed for $6,200,000.

As of March 29th, 2011, in addition to the homes currently listed for sale or pending sale, there are also 614 homes listed in Placer County that are short sales in contract awaiting bank approval.

The number of Placer County homes that were pending sale in February was up when compared to January, and was up even more when compared to February of last year.
